We Are Urban Hax

The Black Country Makerspace

Welcome to Urban Hax, the Black Country Makerspace based in the heart of the industrial West Midlands. Established in 2014 Urban Hax has built its reputation as being a great place to practice and exploit creativity in all its forms. If you’re an artist or an artisan, if you’re into traditional skills or 21st century digital skills, you’ll find something for you.

If it’s creative we do it! Or at least we try to. We like a challenge and if we can’t do it, we know lots of people who can. We’ve spent a long time building up our network of talent who we can call on to work with us on new creative challenges. The whole point of the makerspace is to help build a thriving creative community here in the Black Country. There’s lots of talent out there, we want to grow more.

And we’re not precious – if someone comes to us and we can’t help them or don’t have the kit they need, we’ll point them to some of the other great makerspaces, Fablabs and men’s sheds we have in the region. We share equipment, we share skills and we share ideas. That’s how you get things done!
