WHAT WE DO

Urban Hax designs, operates and supports a growing network of makerspaces, tools and programmes rooted in community need and collaboration.

Making spaces & co working

Our makerspaces and co-working environments provide welcoming places to create, learn and collaborate. Whether you’re experimenting, building skills, or developing projects, you’ll be part of a supportive community. Each space encourages curiosity, collaboration and hands-on learning, helping people of all backgrounds explore ideas and work alongside others.

Tools, repair & reuse

We provide access to shared tools, workshops and repair facilities, encouraging a culture of reuse and sustainability. Makers can learn how things work, fix what’s broken and reduce waste. We give everyone access to tools and repair opportunities, encouraging creativity and learning by doing.

Creative learning

Our creative learning programmes focus on learning through doing, exploring and experimenting in an informal, hands-on way. We encourage curiosity, imagination and confidence-building, helping people of all ages develop skills, test ideas and discover new ways to express themselves. Learning at Urban Hax is playful, practical and inspiring.

Enterprise & growth

We support emerging creative businesses and help develop the infrastructure they need to thrive. From prototyping ideas to growing sustainable ventures, our programmes provide guidance, shared resources and opportunities for collaboration. We help makers turn their ideas into projects and businesses that contribute to local communities and the wider creative economy.
